In trying to decide what to write about this month, it dawned on me that a long held acronym in union avoidance campaigns could certainly be applied to ANY employee relation situation – not just labor strife. In the dark days when my profession was still referred to as Personnel, I learned the following things to AVOID if you heard talk of an "organizing campaign."
DO NOT:
T: Threaten your employees
I: Interrogate your employees
P: Promise your employees a fix/raise/better benefits
S: Spy on your employees
All good TIPS for having and keeping good relationships with your employees (organized or not!)
